Antiphellos LIBERTY SIGNA

Antiphellos LIBERTY SIGNA

Liberty’s newest hotel, Signa, has outdone the rest of them in the swimming pool department, with no less than sixteen options for aquatic fun, ranging from family-themed waterparks to adults-only pools for a quieter time. Located next door to the stunning Liberty Fabay in Fethiye, Signa has a lot more to offer besides swimming options.

There are eight bars—including an Irish Bar with Guinness on tap—and a slew of restaurants spanning Turkish and international buffets, a delicious Steakhouse, Asian, Italian and Far East options, two à la carte breakfast options (Aegean and Mediterranean), plus snack restaurants, pastry shops and 24-hour options.

For kids and adults alike, the sports and entertainment options are truly limitless, with a range of pools, including waterparks, and a beautiful beach area with a handsome pier. You can play basketball and beach volleyball, enjoy pilates, yoga and dance lessons, use the indoor pool at the Spa (which has Turkish baths, massage, and skin-care rooms), or relax in the evening with the karaoke options and live shows on offer.

Kids also get their own activities—and even their own clubs. The Mini Club caters to 4-12-year-olds with shows and mini discos, while the Teen Club looks after 13-16-year-olds with a social media corner, game consoles and DJ lessons.

And while it’s firmly a family-friendly hotel, Signa keeps one eye open for those traveling without kids—hence you can find adult-only rooms, dining areas, and quiet pools for over-16s only.

In terms of rooms, Signa offers a selection of Superior, Superior Pool Access, Deluxe, Junior Suites and Penthouses, all of which come with slick modern designs, dapper bathrooms and plenty of natural light. Some forward-thinking touches from the hotel include PlayStations in selected rooms, a selection of room fragrances on request, and a custom-made Spotify playlist to give guests a good night’s sleep. Other standard amenities include Smart TVs, Bluetooth speakers, coffee machines, pillow menus and every room comes with a balcony or terrace.

If you can pull yourself away from this chic paradise, Liberty Fabay is also well-located to explore the historic city of Fethiye, local historic sites such as the Amyntas Rock Tombs and Tlos, the upscale ‘superyacht’ town of Göcek and the unique Saklıkent Canyon.

If you look at one of the site-overview maps positioned at convenient points around the Liberty Fabay’s vast grounds, you’ll be struck by the abundance of the color blue. Water is one of this slick hotel’s defining features, taking the form of pools and aqua-parks as well as specially-designed waterways that run right past some of the rooms, allowing guests to step right off their private sunbathing terrace and enjoy a dip. Then of course there’s the impressive Aegean Sea that laps gently against the hotel’s long, sandy private beach…

All of this gorgeous blue is offset against the crisp whites and wooden browns of the hotel’s main buildings, which are interspersed with vivid green lawns and gardens and palm-dotted pathways and relaxation areas. On these grounds you’ll find not only pools but a slew of restaurants, cocktail bars, lounges and leisure spaces.

The leisure concept at Liberty Fabay is vibrant and comprehensive. Free activities include yoga sessions and pilates, cardio and Zumba classes, as well as options for beach volleyball, tennis and water gymnastics. Guests can also try their hands at more adrenaline-fueled sports such as jet-skiing, fly-boarding and boat safaris. Children get their own facilities in the shape of a Kids Club (4-12 years) and a Youth Club (13-17 years), which offer a full range of age-specific activities, as well as education and training programs.

The food here is seriously good. Myra, the main buffet restaurant, offers a cornucopia of Turkish and international cuisine three times a day, and is supplemented by à la carte eateries such as the elegant Sarpedon fish restaurant and the excellent Balbura Grill Restaurant (both of which have magnificent sea-views) as well as Italian and Asian restaurants. You’ll need to save space for the wonderful sweet treats at the Pisidia Patisserie and be sure not to miss the creative cocktails served up at the Araxa Adult Bar—best experienced with a photogenic sunset.

There’s also a Sports Bar, in-house disco and nightly entertainment, but those who prefer pampering over partying can enjoy the in-house spa, whose dizzying array of treatments includes massages with exotic items such as honey, yoghurt, and cocoa, plus reflexology, aromatherapy and algae treatments, facials, face-tightening and more.

The rooms are every bit as swanky as the rest of this impressive hotel, with sophisticated grey and light-wood color schemes, and a range of sizes to suit different group sizes and needs. The Pool Terrace Rooms are a real treat, coming with private wooden terraces, sunbeds, and direct access to the shared pools right outside the door. Larger groups can plump for the ultra-spacious two-floored villas, which come with lounge and dining areas, swish bathtubs in the en-suite bathrooms, and their own private pools; they can host up to six people.
